The Location
The Four Queens Resort and Hotel is
accessibly located along the National Highway, Tuburan District, Pagadian City and
is easy to see by travelers coming into the city from the direction of
Labangan. It is just minutes away from both the domestic airport and the bus
terminal and they have a spacious parking space. They have a pool available for
guests who desire to swim and unwind.
With about 20 comfortable well furnished rooms the hotel offers good quality service. They
have free WiFi connection for each room, 24-hour front desk, room service,
meeting facilities, laundry service, and a luggage storage.
The Room
The room we took is comfy large
enough with two beds (Junior Suite), each with its own side table. It has no windows although
it has a small porch at the back with a table and two chairs good for chilling
with a coffee or smoke. It has an air-conditioning system with a remote
control. It comes with a not-too-large flat screen LCD television with cable
connection. It has one chair and a vanity table or dressing table. The
room has a railing and a few hangers for your clothes.
The bathroom has a functioning
hot-and-cold shower but sadly the sprinkler has grown mossy. The toilet supplies
are a small soap, a roll of tissues, and a couple sachet of shampoo with
conditioner. The room also provides for two washable plastic cups one on the
bedside table and another in the bathroom. They may also serve meals by room service by
phone call.
They have a coffee shop and a
restaurant where guests may eat their meals or snacks and watch the television
and may also buy refreshments or beer. The whole place is well maintained.
The Pool and Other Amenities
They have a pool which is divided
into two by a bridge to separate the kid’s pool from the adult’s. The adult’s
pool is 10 feet at its deepest. It is
sufficiently large enough to have a good time and the water is regularly
refreshed and maintained. On the back side of the pool is the roofed
resting area with resting chairs while
on the side near the adult's pool is where you may find the Poolside Guestrooms and the shower rooms
for each gender and some toilets too. Their other recreational amenities are
massage, karaoke and table tennis.
Summary
I have mixed reactions during my stay here. The staff is warmly hospitable and approachable but I was disappointed with the WiFi connection because by around 9:00 pm I no longer have internet connection. Another disappointment is the beef that I had for dinner which was as difficult to chew as rubber. The mossy shower is also a big letdown and was gross. It is also very difficult to leave the premises during a rain because the exit is relatively far and there is no covered pathway towards it and it is an uphill travel from the hotel building too. The bedding are quite worn out and rough to the skin which makes it uncomfortable for me to sleep. Some of the outlets are not working also. I paid P1299.00 for the room without a free breakfast is pretty disappointing. Making me think that the name of the hotel doesn't make sense at all. I'm no more less treated like a queen during my stay here.
