Location
The Cake Co. is located at Hofilena Street, San Francisco District near ZamSurEco, beside Grace Clinic fronting Top 1 Hearts Motor Shop. and is about 30 meters away from
the Pagadian City Gymnasium a.k.a Oval.
The Place
The cake house is a posh but rather
small one room establishment and is only enough to accommodate around six
guests at a time and is apparently only intended for seats of guest while they
wait for the take-out order of their cake. The interior design is very much chic
and trendy with European style wallpapers and elegant furniture. It only has
four small tables and some chairs, a counter and two large showcase chillers for their cakes. The bright colored walls and nice lights makes
for a well-lit environment that is good for selfie or other picture-takings.
The place also has free WiFi access and the toilet is fairly nice and neat. The store opens during Mondays up to Saturdays from 9:00 am and closes at 9:00 pm. Every Sunday they're open at 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
The Cakes
Within Pagadian City, Cake Co. is one of the most notable establishment that sells cake that uses high-end/expensive ingredients that’s why their pricing is higher than other cake businesses in
the city. The cakes I have tried there are the carrot cake and the blueberry
cheesecake. So far, their carrot cake and blueberry cheesecake is the best in Pagadian City. Aside from cakes, they also have on their menu among others
Tuna Sandwich, cookies, hot brewed coffees as well as iced coffees, iced brewed fruit tea, and Pastas such
as Tomato and Basil spaghetti, Aglio Olio and Carbonara.
Summary
Since their cakes are delicious
and of high quality, I’d still prefer this cake-house rather than that of Red
Ribbon or Goldilocks. They also offer free service water which is on the plus-side
because in other establishments you’ll be forced to spend just for a bottle of
mineral water to quench your thirst. The place is also conducive for reading or
studying probably due to the fact that the place can only accommodate a few
people because of the small space and their staff is friendly and
accommodating too. One of the downside is that the place is a little bit difficult
to find due to the fact that it is not in the commercial area of Pagadian City. Due
to their relatively high-priced products their market is on the upscale-side of
the population and mere students or other low income population won’t be able
to afford their cakes or pastries.
